I have always been the sort of person to hide away in a book. When I need to retreat from the world, I re-read old favourites. When I need inspiration, I go looking in books.
And on blogs.
At any one time, there’s probably four or five books I’m reading, and several more on my wish list. So when Jamie asked what I wish to read, I was spoilt for choice.
I wish to read Momma Zen, because I still haven’t got my hands on it.
I wish to read Zen to Done because Leonie made such an awesome poster and now I’m curious.
I wish to read The Moonstone because a friend cannot recommend it highly enough.
I wish to re-read some Stephen King novels because I’ve just finished reading his book, On Writing, and it blew me away.
Oh, and mondo beyondo, I’d love to read my name in print.

King’s, The Stand, is one of my favorite books. I’ve read it a couple of times, even though it’s a massive novel!

The Momma Zen book sounds good. I seem to be having moments lately where I could use some more of that. I will have to put that on my reading list. I can usually get books from the library or interlibrary loan which is great!

I am currently reading a few books:
1) My Steve (by Terri Irwin, about….guess who)
2) Marco Polo Didn’t Go There (by Rolf Potts – an EXCELLENT read for travelers and writing enthusiasts alike)
3) Eco-Friendly Families (by Helen Coronato – always looking for ideas)
4) Channelling (lent to me by a friend about channelling your higher consciousness etc, interesting read)
5) The Rum Diary (Hunter S. Thompson – I just finished reading Fear & Loathing, so figured it was a natural progression).
For somebody who doesn’t like to read more than one book at a time, that’s tons! All in addition to the one thousand blogs I like to stay on top of too.
But blogs aside, there’s really nothing nicer than cozying up on a cold or rainy day with a nice book. Mmmm….I think I’ll go read one now.

I’m a bit slow this week. I’d like to read something with your name on it too. Also I’d like to read something with the husband’s name on it – partly because it makes him happy to be published and partly because it’s a real thrill to read something that has been published, even if I read it on pieces of paper weeks before.
